Whole in One

New Product Strategy: With both male and female both having jobs, having to wait for the washer to get done washing just to switch it to the dryer, is a huge inconveinence. A machine that washes and dries would help the lazy teenager, the single parent, or the multi working family. The Whole in One will automatically take your clothes from washing to drying by itself. It will also only take up the space of one machine rather than two.

Idea Generation: Customers, this is like no other washing/drying machine. I know from experience that waiting to get your clothes out of the wash to put them in the dryer can easily become a tedious hassle. If you want to go somewhere or have errands to run, and you need work for later but they are in the washer, you have to wait around for them to get done. However, that will no longer happen with the Whole in One. Competition is always a worry but there is no other machine that both washes and drys. Research shows that both sexes are in the workforce now and it leaves little time for laundry. Also, college students would rather do anything probably than do laundry, but the Whole in One makes it so much easier.

Idea Screening: This could change consumer behavior. It might lead to people doing more outside their home. The dishwasher just made is that much easier to do dishes, and this whole in one washer/ dryer will make it so much easier to do the laundry. People always like to get the job done with one less step and this is it.

Business Analysis: Demand is probably very high for a product like this. Sales would skyrocket from this because everyone does laundry; single parents, multi working families, teenagers. All of these people know what it is like to have to wait for the washer, and they most likely hate it. Therefore, they would buy this eventually saving them a lot of time and stress. This might take sales away from the side by side washer and dryers... you only need one machine now. This is a very beneficial creation. However, competition would probably arise from other companies if sales are good. Other washer and dryer companies are going to have to come up with something good, so it would be a good risk to take.

Development: This machine will be as green as possible. People are trying to be environmentally friendly, so making a dual machine green as well as conveinent is a double bonus. It will also come in many different shades because more people are starting to update. Demographics make is pretty easy for an item like this to sell because most moms and dads are working parents, and most people don't have a lot of time for laundry. Even at the laudromat this would be a great idea because you don't have to sit there to wait to switch the laundry it will automatically do that; therefore, you can have more time to do whatever you want.
We could try advertising the product to see what kind of response we get. The internet would be one of the best ways to advertise this.

Commercialization: The market needs conveience and this is it. People would see the benefits they would gain from something like this and it would basically sell itself.

New Product: This could easily be marketable worldwide because so many people lead such busy lifes. Word would also spread. Word of mouth is one of the best ways to advertise. The internet is also a great way and that would help internationally. Globally, we are going green as well. So they would be drawn to atleast check out the machine. Moms would tell other moms, kids will wanna do laundry, and so on. People would love only having one step to do the laundry, therefore it would be easily adaptable.
